How to get your recording file
Open the Recording Preview Tab
Look for a tab called Recording Preview.
Download your video as MP4 or WebM
Click Download MP4 or Download WebM in the Recording Preview tab.
Your file saves to your Downloads folder
Your recording saves locally to your standard Downloads folder.

If your recording is not in Downloads yet, it is usually still waiting in the preview tab.

Can't find your file?
Check the Recording Preview tab and click Download.
Preview tab not visible?
Check other open Chrome tabs or windows. The extension usually opens the preview automatically after you stop recording. If needed, record a short test clip again.
Download didn't start?
Click the download button again in the preview tab and allow downloads if Chrome asks for permission. Then check your Downloads folder.
MP4 not available?
Use the WebM download option as a fallback. WebM is supported by most modern browsers and players.
